Zombie Loan starts in media res, with Kita Michiru laying on the floor of a church and being asked by Akatsuki Chika if she wants to die. Flashing back, we witness Michiru’s crappy existance as her “friends” use her as a slave at school, and her aunt and uncle complain about having to take care of her at home (she was recently orphaned). Even worse, Michiru can see dark black lines around the necks of people who are about to die (e.g. her parents).

Through a chance meeting, Michiru encounters the mysterious Chika and Tachibana Shito, the only two survivors of a horrible bus/viaduct accident. As it turns out, they aren’t really survivors, and ended up getting a Zombie Loan from the Z Office. Now they hunt mindless zombies to pay back their debt to the Ferryman, Bekko (and his assistant, Yuuta). The pair decide that Michiru will be useful in tracking down zombies because of her Shinigami Eyes. After a long night of searching, however, Michiru notices that she is sporting a thin grey line around her own neck.

I like how Shito is completely unwilling to put up with any Michiru emo. He is very cold when she mentions she is just drifting along in life, and wouldn’t have fought to live if she was dying. To someone like Shito, this is such an ignorant statement, and he’s rightfully pissed that someone would overlook the pain caused by death. On the other hand, Michiru has a right to feel sorry for herself, considering what a crappy life she lives. I wonder who gave her those special glasses, though. The nearsightedness ended up being pretty amusing with Michiru mistakenly tagging punks and old ladies as zombies. Wouldn’t it be such a mean joke to start drawing that ring on people who were drunk and passed out?

The OP was good until the angry scream-rock started, and the ED was not that great. I really liked the preview with Michiru being like, “Mom, Dad, I’m going to die, but I’ll try to finish this preview before I go. I wonder if I’ll live through the next episode.” Haha, you’d think someone handed her a used orange mech, or made her a branch family member, or something.

(hmmm, how do you make those cool, gangstalicious quote thingys? do they come automatically?… anyways,)

This is why you shouldn’t drive while playing your DS

quotes from an earlier Hitohira comment of mine:

“be the driving force…” “D.S.”

hmmm…. are you trying to tell me something??? lol! It looks like you’ve gotten your facts wrong my furry little friend (i think)! You see, the caption should read: “This is why you shouldn’t drive while playing your PSP”, since that is obviously a “bus” in that picture!

(and yes, you’ll have to teach me how to do those clickable word link thingys… so many years using the internet and i still don’t know how to do that) (I learned what a Viaduct is! Thanks!) Zombie Loan seems pretty interesting. I’ll have to check it out. Is anyone subbing it?

D.S. You rock…and PSP kills!

Jesus159159159: I believe Shinsen-subs is. The quotes can be used by surrounding text you want to quote with the blockquote tag so that it looks like:

<blockquote>Quote Quote Quote</blockquote>

And the html for links is:

<a href="http://www.seaslugteam.com" rel="nofollow">This is a link to Sea Slugs!</a>

You may wish to check out this HTML tutorial. I didn’t know what a viaduct was either, until I watched this episode, and looked it up.

Ashura: That is interesting… It sounds almost like an AJAX problem. Whenever I am browsing the archives page X of the archives and I navigate away, hitting the Back button will bring me to the latest page of that archive, instead of page X. I wonder if the problems are related.
