Is Your Blog Good In Bed?

Is Your Blog Good In Bed? suiseiseki bedEvery so often I like to talk about general blogging because it gives me ideas on how to keep this place interesting. I was especially motivated after reading an article by Michelle, entitled 11 Mistakes Your Blog Makes In Bed. Of course the immediate question that popped into my mind was, “Wow, is Sea Slugs good in bed?” These things keep me awake at night.

So I figured I’d go through Michelle’s delightful list and see if we were guilty of any double entendres.

  1. Not kissing first: “Some of you folks out there, and you know who you are, hit people up with links before even saying hi first.” Ahaha… *remembers hitting Jeff Lawson up for a link back in the day* While we don’t do this anymore, I have to plead guilty on this one.
  2. Ignoring the other parts of her body: Ummm, there are other parts? We try to mix things up between missionary-style episodic posts and the more exotic editorials and even some poll dancing.
  3. Stopping for a break: We have crazy stamina. Like, crazy. We’re fiends. I personally get the shakes if I can’t blog for more than 5 days.
  4. Undressing her awkwardly: I’m way past all those extra laces and frills of super-unique themes and codes. Who wants to maintain all that code with every version release?
  5. Talking dirty: Is this a mistake? I think we keep it clean, but we’ve been known to slip in a little innuendo here and there. We’re like Disney in that sense.
  6. Going too fast: Hmmm, I guess this blog is not super casual-friendly. A lot of posts reference other series or esoteric otaku knowledge. Personally, I like my blogs 2Fast2Furious.
  7. Coming too soon: Thankfully, this is not typically a problem…
  8. Not coming soon enough: Thinking back to this post, all I can say is that sometimes it takes a little longer to get where you’re going.
  9. Making her ride on top for ages: Since we never have guest bloggers, does this mean we are always on top???
  10. Taking pictures: We keep things sensible here.
  11. Not being imaginative enough: It’s usually plain vanilla at Sea Slugs, but posts like this one bring out the wild side every so often.

Well, so with a score of about 7/11 (63.6%), I guess we are not quite the sexual gigolo of a blog that I thought we were. Fortunately, what we lack in quality, we make up for in quantity.

So how good is your blog in bed?

One of the founders of Sea Slugs, I handle most of the blog admin tasks while wearing my I AM BOSS shirt. I like my action series well choreographed, and my romance series extra trashy. I also have a soft spot for puns.

Ahahaha… Man, I’m so guilty of 5 and 6 all the time. I write and virtually LIVE in curse-ridden metaposting.

LOL, I’m thoroughly enjoying this post. I am guilty of #3, #5, and #11, so my blog doesn’t rank that high in bed, but thankfully I’m just as satisfied being on the bottom. :P

I guess I’m guilty of 5 and 6, although I do have a glossary to help out newcomers…maybe 8 and 10 too on certain posts, but the pictures are there for a reason, dammit!

I just love your take on this! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I’m sure you’re a pretty exciting guy, despite your lackluster 63.6%. And quantity is good, very good. I can’t believe I missed that one…

I’m more like the wife who never wants to have sex anymore or the business man who’s always tired. Maybe I should actually start having sex or rather, blogging again ;p

No worries about your blog. You may not be the freaky sexfiend but you’re definitely never a dull shag.

Wha… wha… what is with that picture of Suiseiseki!? And… and the topic is sewn with the picture…

I object! You defile Suiseiseki’s image by +’ing the two together, you fiend!

=p

Helpful topic, despite my bickering, even though I don’t blog.
