El Cazador de la Bruja 06

Ellis and Nadie ride into the city on the bus, and Ellis reads a trashy romance novel about Nadia and Miguel. This really pisses off Nadie, and when they get to the city, we found out why. A shady mariachi named Miguel greets Nadie, and we find out about how he woo’ed Nadie (back in her penniless waitress days) and then conned her. Unfortunately, even now Nadie can’t get over Miguel, and when he invites her to dinner, she goes against her better judgment.

Of course it is all a trick to turn Ellis in for the bounty. Some other bounty hunters double-cross Miguel and we learn that there is a bounty on Miguel’s head as well. Apparently Miguel got down and dirty with a big boss’ daughter… Nadie saves the day, but Miguel gets shot in the gunfight. Nadie leaves a bleeding Miguel for his latest victim (Lulu), but Ellis points out that Nadie is still a hopeless romantic.

While not really an exciting episode, there was plenty of character development. I enjoyed seeing the young and naive Nadie, and I felt her pain when she saw Miguel two-timing her. And yet, she fell for it again, and was getting really hot and bothered in that restaurant. Miguel’s not even that good a mariachi, but his mojo really makes the ladies go wild.

Speaking of hot and bothered, even Ellis was able to sense the flames of passion coming off of Nadie. Although Ellis avoided the yuri-molestation on a curiously empty bus, it looks like L.A. managed to steal a kiss and probably cop a feel while Ellis was sleeping. The preview suggests that Douglas will have Ricardo punish L.A. for wasting so much of the budget on amateur pr0n films in the next episode.
