It’s flashback time, and we see “Teresa of the Faint Smile.” Teresa is the most powerful of the Claymores, and yet barely ever uses any of her Yoki. She never has to get all fugly, and kills Yoma while smiling her peaceful smile. One fateful day, she rids a town of 7 Yoma, that she was able to sense from quite far away. The original Yoma had a mute young girl as a sort of slave, and Teresa effectively saves the youngster. The mute girl decides to follow Teresa around, in spite of harsh treatment and the difficult trek.
At one point in the journey, Teresa is ambushed by a group of bandits. She has nothing worth taking, but the bandits think she’s pretty hot, and want to have their way with her. Teresa has nothing against orgies, but when she whips out the twins, the bandits are completely disgusted. One guy almost pukes. Teresa chops off one bandit’s hand (Rig), and they go their separate ways. As she spends more time with the young girl, Teresa finds herself smiling and enjoying her journey more. Teresa eventually gives the mute girl the name Clare, because Teresa and Clare were the two beautiful and pure twin goddesses of love.
I love character redesigns, so of course it was good to see young Clare. In spite of what we saw in earlier episodes, it seems Clare’s original eye color is green, and not brown. We also get to see a lot more of her since she spends a bit of the later part of the episode topless. However, Clare is a very determined fangirl. Not even getting kicked in the head or falling off a cliff can deter her glomps, and Teresa is just waiting to get into town to file a restraining order on the young mute. The episode clearly parallels how Clare and Lucky first met.
Teresa was great too, and in spite of her harsh behavior, she’s obviously a big softee. This much is clear in how Teresa gave the town the special on Yoma extermination: purchase 6 Yoma-kills and get the 7th one free! I wonder what it is about the Claymore process that makes the Claymore body so ugly. At first I suspected extremely saggy breasts, but from the view of Teresa in the inn, this appears to not be the case. So either they have very hairy chests, or they possess large veins or scars on their torsos. Perhaps the left one hangs much lower than the right one. Any other suggestions are certainly welcome.

she has a gurenn lagann torso head
Hairy chests? These aren’t Thunderclaymores!
Teenage Mutant Hero Claymores
Regarding the second picture:
“Down the Rabbit Hole…NOT!”
“Strange heads with no real bodies” seems to be taking the lead… I didn’t even consider that possibility before, but it is definitely disturbing.
How about ‘I am a trap’ on her belly with arrow pointing downwards?
sorry to post a comment after so long, but after seeing Clare take Teresa’s head and ask for that, i would imagine the whole Face-Body thing
So imagining a Yoma face in the middle of a Claymore’s body would be a little… Creepy.
well… why dont abbys feeders, or what they are called, dont have a awakened face in the middle of their boddy? wouldn’t that make sense????
