Upgraded to 2.0.4

There was some wackiness tonight when I tried to log in and was told that I didn’t have sufficient privileges. At first I thought it was that rascal Ender, but further investigation revealed that there was a serious problem with the WordPress install. Well, that made it as good a time as any to upgrade from WP 2.0.2 to 2.0.4, what with all the security updates and all. Leave a comment if you see any parts of the site malfunctioning, as I had to install it all from scratch.

It seems like there are some problems with the RSS feed… In Safari, it won’t update past the post about Zero no Tsukaima 08 even though there’s been two new posts since then. And in Shiira (an “alternative” browser for Mac Os X pretty much based on Safari), the feed simply won’t work, it just gives me this:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/seaslug/public_html/index.php:3) in /home/seaslug/public_html/wp-rss2.php on line 8

…followed with a list of posts and/or comments URLs.

Otherwise, how’s the latest version of WP working? I’ve been considering upgrading my blog, too, since it seems like 2.0.4 contains many security updates….

Craaaaaaaaap, you’re right. Thanks for pointing this out, as I don’t typically monitor our RSS feed, and wouldn’t have noticed this for a while. As to what’s causing the problem…

I think 2.0.4 isn’t much different; it just has some security patches over 2.0.2.

I don’t know whether I should be honored or offended that you immediately suspected me of scheming to overthrow your tyrannical regime. I am, however, feeling rather pathetic that WordPress did a better job of it than I did!

Code can be very tricky, especially when the solution to the debugging problem is deleting extra white space.

I went to the Wordpress support forums, and clicked on a troubleshooting FAQ provided, helping me to fix the problem. RSS feeds should work now.
