Genjimaru is taking some paid time off, so Kuuya has Genjimaru’s granddaughter Sakuya fetch Hakuoro. Of course Eruru suspects that Hakuoro’s trying to get some more concubines, but she gets caught eavesdropping. In an unexpected twist, this conversation gets cut short and we have a strange interlude about Kamyu going vampiric on Aruru and moaning about having black wings. However, Aruru doesn’t really mind that much because she loves Rozen Maiden.

Getting back to the real story, we learn that the countries of Noseshechika and Erumui are advancing on Kunnekamun. Unfortunately, Noseshechika’s commander Kanhorudari didn’t bother doing any research, and his army gets completely owned by Kuuya and her band of bunny suits (Avu Kamuu, Onbitaikayan’s gift to the bunny people). Kuuya herself deals the finishing blow, and her annoying, crazy, blue-haired advisor-guy brings Kanhorudari’s body to the mysterious white-haired angel-guy from episode 15 for some “fixing”. I can only surmise that there will be more zombies in the last six episodes. Things look bad for Hakuoro’s gang now that Kunnekanum has begun advancing on Erumui and commenced saber rattling.

So basically Onbitaikayan bestowed the power of sentai-mechs on Kunnekanum? The rest of the world doesn’t have a chance now!

As for the rest of the episode, I didn’t really like the flow of it. The injection of Kamyu becoming a vampire didn’t mesh very well with the rest of the story, and it seems like a lot of mystery is being juggled haphazardly. Hopefully more answers will come later. The whole thing has a very Full Metal Alchemist feel to it.

You mean, because there are giant suits of armor running around?

They should have made this a 39 episode series, for there are too many stories that will go untold or unexplained.

What exactly was wrong with Scrapped Princess?

The ending?

That and all the intrigue. Kingdoms manipulation, suits of armor, and crazy guys with shady plans are all present. I just know angel-man’s trying to create the Philosopher’s Stone.

What exactly was wrong with Scrapped Princess?

The ending. The other problem was that the series wasn’t all bad. It had some good moments. I was just really disappointed with the whole thing.

Pssst.. .Angel Man is voiced by Shuichi Ikeda (Gilbert Durandal, Char Aznable)

Now we should wait for Eruru to stumble upon an incomprehensible middle school biology note book and somehow see through all his evil plans from that.

It was around this episode that I started getting annoyed with the show… unfortunately, it’s just getting worse. In fact, by the end of Episode 22, I think it’s a lost cause. I know I’m in a minority here, but I’m finding all of these final plot twists to be beyond ridiculous… they’re ruining the show for me.

It just means you have no love for Japanese RPGs, Jeff.

You poor soul, you.
