Flashback to Saito paying outrageous fees to get his laptop repaired, when he sees a strange floating green thing. Saito touches the portal and is instantly sucked into the other world. In the present, he’s forced to do menial tasks for Louise (who treats him like a dog-servant), but it’s almost ok because he gets to ogle her naked body all the time. Since he does the laundry well, Saito gets to go to breakfast, and there he meets another commoner, the meido named Siesta. Siesta explains that all magic casters are nobles, and everyone else is a commoner. However, Saito can’t accept this artificial hierarchy.

After feeding Guiche some tainted cheesecake, Saito starts talking some serious trash and engaging in some serious cockblocking. Guiche can’t believe what a player-hater Saito is, and when first-year Katie, and second-year Montmorency both dump Guiche, the duel is on. Louise commands Saito to stand down, but Saito only takes abuse from hot girls, and so refuses. Although Guiche’s bronze golems (Valkyries) initially beat the stuffing out of Saito, Guiche makes the mistake of offering Saito a sword (hoping to use it as an excuse to seriously hurt Saito). As soon as Saito touches the sword, his rune activates, his pain fades, and he easily defeats Guiche.

Here in episode 2 we learn that Saito will not be the typical spineless harem male, and in fact will be more along the lines of a Rentarou harem male; in other words, Saito will be allowed to kick serious ass and get serious play. He’s clearly attracted the attention of Siesta with his commoner charm, and that floozy Kirche has taken note of his combat prowess. Then there’s Louise, who clearly cares for him, but Saito only likes her when she shuts her mouth T__T.

There were some great moments in this episode, such as Guiche proudly talking about his deep conversations with his… mole, Belldandy. Saito talked a great game, and I hope he continues talking trash to every other jerk who appears in the series. His rune power seems to be a legendary rune capable of affecting Lost Penta’s corners, but also seems to be tied to physical contact with a sword. Still, like I mentioned before, you don’t mess with shounen swordsman, especially not when they’re good with the ladies.

LOL

You’d think people would wise up.

Oh well. Here’s hoping A MOLE IS FINE TOO.

Saito’s at 1/3 Rentarou now. He would have to kick a lot more ass to be a Rentarou level lead. Preferably by fighting something really big that shoots missiles.
