Junko can’t believe Hachi is sharing a flat with a total stranger, and warns Hachi that this Nana could turn out to be a murderous lesbian. Hachi, however, is more worried about the fact that Shouji is so late coming home, and she even makes up an imaginary seductress named Sachiko. Hachi even wonders if this terrible waiting was something that Asano’s wife had to go through. Mmmm, irony.
So apparently Shouji really likes Hachi and eventually wants to marry her. He offers to have her stay with him, but Hachi wants to show him that she can make it on her own. As a compromise, Hachi’s friends decide to pay Nana a visit. At the door, they meet Yasu, and Yasu tells Nana all the things that have to be done to get gas and telephone hooked up. Junko is relieved that the girls are under the protection of a responsible lawyer-in-training, and Hachi lets Nana wear one of her sweaters.
Hopefully this tendency to reuse footage at the beginning won’t continue, because it really confuses me and makes me think I’m watching the wrong episode. Anyway, this was a pretty amusing episode, with Nana’s “imaginary” rival, Sachiko. I enjoyed listening to Junko’s horror scenarios, but in the end, Nana ended up being a woman who was totally Kyousuke’s type! However, I don’t think Junko has much to worry about, considering that she and Kyousuke even wear matching cowboy suits and pajamas…
