Oboro brings Yuzuha, Dorii, and Gura to Hakuoro’s village and pledge their service. Hakuoro has watched Samurai 7, and figures they need to get a defense ready. Unfortunately, their efforts are partially sabotaged by Aruru, who steals food for a growing Mukuru. Blame Eruru, for not having any milk for Mukuru to suckle!

Meanwhile, Inkari, the emperor of Kenashi Kouru Pe, is mad that the rebels killed his brother. He sends Benawi out to go take it out on some random innocent villagers. Benawi’s platoon comes upon Hakuoro (who is on a diplomatic mission), but the village is already sacked. They skirmish, with Benawi gaining the upper hand, but a now huge Mukuru comes and saves the day. Later, we learn that Benawi got unsatisfactory marks on his performance review and he’s been supplanted by the crazed Nuwangi.

What a hilarious episode! From the completely unexpected Mukuru-attempting-to-suckle scene to Eruru shooting the death glare in retaliation, there was even some infighting and drama! There’s little doubt that Benawi and Kurou are going to hand in their 2-weeks notice soon, and then it will be on to recruiting more chicks for the rebel force. Mukuru and Aruru were amazing this episode, and I was astonished at Mukuru’s rate of growth.

Nuwangi was the one who burned down the village, not benawi. And i bet that ‘suckling’ scene was straight from the H game this was based off of , teh funny

Yeah, I was trying to say that by the time Benawi arrived, the village was already burned down. Hopefully that wasn’t too confusing.

Probably my favourite scene was when Eruruu glared at Mukuru in the warehouse and caused Mukuru to back down, followed by Mukuru’s glomping of Hakuoro.

Oh, oh. Another memorable scene was Eruruu picking up a protesting Aruruu from blocking the warehouse door. Protests have never sounded cuter.

Haha I liked the Aruru pickup scene too, as her attempt to block the door was pretty pathetic, and beyond the door was this big ole tiger butt.

Aruru = Love.

She’s got that spoiled brat “daddy’s little girl” thing down pat.

I can’t believe I didn’t get the “feels bad for me” line the first time, though I knew Mukuru was trying to suckle.

Speaking of which, Mukuru has outgrown her moé phase, and gone into her coolness phase. Seeing her trying to act cute in the storeroom is the mental equivalent of Shaquille O’Neal putting on a schoolgirl dress. It just… doesn’t work. But the part where Hakuoro is struggling to break free = win.

I think we all believe that Oboro is slowly but surely becoming gay for Hakuoro.

Man, how the hell does Nuwangir rise so quickly in the ranks when he has no skillz? I’ll bet it involved a lot of lying, cheating, and brown-nosing, just like in corporate life!

It helps when the Emperor is your Uncle.

tiger breast feeding attack ftw! :)

altho it was pretty funny when mukuru glomped hakuoro too…I was joking around about there being bestiality (what witht he dog ears … even seen some “doggy style” jokes:D) … ._.”

and if anyone is gay it’s nuwangi … not oboro … I mean sure having the uncle as emperor helps..but he did something dirty to get his position…

oh and it was great when the soldiers said that having mukuru was like cheating :D

also proves hakuoro has to do his best to become completely useless emo-man every episode… I mean hsi answer as to whether he thoguth they were right to rebelO_o

This seems to be the week of spoiled Imouto-sans. :p

When I went to watch SHaruhi and saw the scene of Kyon’s little sister crying and pulling his arm, I immediately thought of Aruruu’s scene in Utawarerumono Ep05.

For reference,
“Waaaa!”

Hehe…

I still think it’s a pretty big leap in fortune for Nuwangir. The Emperor let him languish as a lowly guard in a backwater province for most of his life, so I don’t see why he suddenly had a burning desire to promote his nephew to a high-ranking position. Hopefully later episodes will show what happened between the time Nuwangir escaped and his promotion.

Oh, and he really needs to ditch the rope headband – hat is soooo last year.

I agree with Tefari that a little something extra was added to the equation.

Hakuoro was really straining to emote in that scene – having half your face covered up ain’t helping, either. Doesn’t he realize that mask is jeopardizing his acting career?

I think he does, but he can’t remove the mask.
