Pardon the Dust

Switching up the theme to K2. Sure everyone uses it, but that’s just because it’s awesome. It’s got all the great parts of the old Kubrick themes, and now with commented CSS and easier to understand code. Don’t hate.

Those who wish to customize their K2 themes should definitely check out guides 1, 2, 3, and 4 at Paul’s blog. Also, here is a nice guide for customizing your K2 header. This update will probably occur over the course of a few days, so please be patient as things break and change.

Heh, how fitting. I was just thinking about starting my own blog.
Thanks for the customization site :P

Previously Kubrick was so painful to customize and the CSS was horrible to understand. But with better documentation and more versatility, K2 really leaves most of the other themes currently out there in the dust.

I’ve been watching it, but I’m not yet sure if I will be posting about it. It seems like the series is well represented already, but I may change my mind.

Okay I have been out of the loop too long. Stupid APs.

Anyway.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! T^T The Sea Slugs! blog I knew will never be the same again! Totally new theme? Google Ads? Ahhh. :( :( :( Kabitzin, I beg of you, bring back the old theme…It was one of the things I admired about Sea Slugs the most. It actually looked DIFFERENT.

Okay, I know I am bitching a lot here, but…please. Give it some consideration. I know the newer themes are way easier to customize, but can you at least make it look a little similar?

I’m having separation anxiety from the old site! x_X

Well there were always Google ads, in the exact same shape and size… I did like the color scheme of the old version that was based on Mallow, but the code was a bit crufty, and had some issues with the CSS. Plus the more I change the theme, the lazier and lazier I get… Nowadays I just look for an easy to maintain theme instead of a really unique theme. It’s possible that in the future there might be some tweaks to make SS! stand out a little more, but K2′s built in features really are quite cool.

Hope you did well on the APs!

Well, it’s your blog. I will support because I love Sea Slugs but I really hope something…more…better…good happens to the theme. I do remember Google Ads but I hardly noticed them. If you need help with customization, you could always ask me. I’m no expert, but I am a tinker. No, not a homeless gypsy in the UK that sells things on the streets. But I like to fool around a lot with design, specifically CSS code. ^ ^

I hope I did well too. I don’t want to take any more math ever again in my life! Hooray for foreign language majors!
