Although I don’t personally use Winny, there was an interesting article on the LA Times about how the Antinny virus has been using Winny to leak information online.
Soldiers and securities traders, doctors and cops in Japan have become accustomed to loading job-related data onto their personal computers to work after hours. But with many of those computers also running Winny software, chunks of confidential data have been surreptitiously leaked online, where they are extremely difficult to expunge.
Oops!
Perhaps most embarrassing have been the leaks from Japan’s Self-Defense Forces, including data on surface-to-air missile tests and details of “Battle Scenario Training” for a simulated crisis on a transparently code-named “K Peninsula.”
Hey, that could be anyone!
But Kaneko, Winny’s developer, says he has the solution to everyone’s problems: an anti-virus patch that he claims to have developed and is trying to patent.
The only hitch: He is still in court, fighting his case.
“If I hadn’t been arrested, I could have dealt with it,” he said outside the Kyoto courtroom this month. “And this problem wouldn’t have happened.”
Lollerskates, but I’m not sure I believe him.

i think i’ll stick to torrents…
This is one of the reasons why I kept dual accounts on my Windows XP: One account assigned by my institute, another one for personal purposes. Both accounts have file encryption activated.
…But nowadays, I kind of switched to Linux seeing all the troubles of M$ OS. So, now my personal use is on Linux now.
Now, time to play Black on the Japanese, eh?
Was there also a document about Anfan? I believe Madlax is behind all this.
I knew that Japanese are still planning to reconquer ( reclaim in their language ) Korea. They still maintain that 1905 treaty is valid for determination of Japanese territorial claims over surrounding islands. The truth is, that treaty is a unilaterally imposed treaty, not signed by ruling king of Korea nor any of his high ranking ministers, and it basically hands over diplomatic rights and control of internal affairs of Korea to Japan. All Korean protest over that treaty was ignored by the international community.

Whoa there, that kinda crazy talk will get you Elda Taluta’ed!
Pasta FTW! (I somewhat liked Madlax, but all the mess at the end seemed a bit … Otome-sque to me. Just a bit.I suppose it’s not nice to realize that you just don’t exist, tho’ O_o ..)
HAHAHA it seems like we need some speed grapher “goddess” action for this guy
I wish their was a president exchange program. Politicians are quite useless, it helps when they’re at least entertaining.
I researched the Antinny virus a few months ago. If I remember correctly, the conclusion I came to was that if you had good virus software that was up-to-date and always running, then they’d catch it because the Antinny is listed in their virus definitions.

Thanks for the link Omni, especially for all the Winny users out there.
Also that politician link was absolutely hilarious. Ah, you Greeks are amazing.
