And We’re Back!

My apologies, site was down as our hosting company held a gun to my head and forced me to upgrade from WordPress 2.0 to WordPress 2.0.2. When I questioned why it was so important, they then proceeded to pistol-whip me and get food stains on all my manga. Faced with these challenges, I wilted like Gundam Seed Destiny and gave in to the demands.

One of the founders of Sea Slugs, I handle most of the blog admin tasks while wearing my I AM BOSS shirt. I like my action series well choreographed, and my romance series extra trashy. I also have a soft spot for puns.

Damn that hosting company for taking Sea Slugs hostage! I’m glad that your blog is finally up and running again, though. :)

Hehe! Well that is certainly a unique form of customer support, do you pay extra for that sort of thing?. ^_~

Although on a serious note I would imagine it was because the update to 2.0.2 was (from what I can gather) a significant security update for Wordpress 2.0.

Is the new update really critical? I feel lazy and I’m avoiding it only because I don’t want to screw up everything and set my blog on fire.

Everyone seems to think it’s pretty important, but it must have been a small tweak since it’s not even a 0.1 update…

I’m not sure they would dedicate a whole 2.x update to a security flaw, those sort of updates are usually released followng a big bug squishing campaign and the introduction of new features or the removal of bad ones like that new “visual rich editor”. But then again… what would I know.

Hahaha, removal of the visual rich editor, that is pretty funny =D. I wonder if that’s slated for WP 2.1

I dont like the visual editor… It only works on my PC and if i need to i edit on my mac… But then again i use ecto. More importantly, i know tiny MCE works on mac as vbuillitien works, even the old module style RTE for wordpress worked with safri… As i have my sites on a VPS my host just sent an e-mail to people known to run blogs saying they probably want to update, after some other customers encounterd some hackers…
