Yuuji spends the whole episode finally letting all the self-pity out, and this opens the door wide open for Kazumi to endear herself to him by being sensitive. Isn’t that usually a trick guys use on girls? While Yuuji is busy angsting on about being a Torch, Marjorie passes out bookmark cell phones and does all the hard work. Too bad the Professor has already finished his experiment and has Domino attack in a wood mech! Fortunately for all the Flame Hazes, Domino’s attack is pretty pathetic.
At this point the Professor rides in on an airship and gattais with the wood mech in a ridiculous scene. Unable to handle the stupidity any longer, Khamsin summons a rock elemental with a huge flail to lay the smackdown. Rox to the chest, baby. Completing the Honoka-Play, Kazumi then gets naked and tunes the town so well that Yuuji doesn’t want to leave the town. Shana realizes she’s getting flanked and runs off, only to run into Wilhelmina! Off at Balle Masque, we learn that the Professor’s experiment was a complete success, and Bel-Peol is very pleased. At the same time, Hecate continues to keep praying for more screen time.
I know that the Kazumi-Yuuji connection was supposed to be romantic and wonderful, but she’s totally just trying to get in his pants. Don’t fall for it Yuuji, you’re just really vulnerable right now!!! Poor Shana can’t stop Kazumi’s onslaught, however, and had to bring in the meido backup. Will it be enough?
Meanwhile Marjorie was totally awesome this episode, fighting off the temptation to spill out of her yukata (one sleeve/lapel even fell down!!!) to do the most useful work out of all the Flame Hazes. From offering free wireless, to tracking down the enemy and blasting down spirit-osprey, at least one of the Flame Hazes was doing her job. Keep on rocking those kiddie rhymes Marjorie!
