Fate/Stay Night 07

Kabitzin on February 19, 2006 · in Fate/Stay Night

Shirou is quite the heartbreaker, as Rin stops over and prevents lovu lovu Sakura-Shirou time, Saber gets pissed about Shirou breaking his promise, and Sakura runs away in embarrassed anger after being two-timed. He does manage to smooth things over after promising to pump/milk Rin for information, serving Rin some hot crotch coffee, and telling Sakura that Rin doesn’t mean anything to him. Nice.

Anyway, Rin and Shirou go on a pseudo-date breaking all the evil seal marks to slow down the force field that will start sucking student mana in 2-3 days. They have lots of fun and Shirou even manages to avoid the temptation of looking up Rin’s skirt. Unfortunately, he can’t avoid the temptation to run off alone into a dangerous situation. After Rin leaves, Shirou heads to the archery dojo where he senses the evil presence all thick and gooey around him. You better believe it’s that bastard Shinji and his servant Rider. Shinji dismisses Rider, however, and prepares to take Shirou on himself. Mmmmmm thick and gooey Y4L, baby.

This was another slow episode, but there was lots of fun stuff that happened this time. From Saber owning Taiga at breakfast (Taiga is basically Saber’s bitch at this point), Issei warning Shirou about Rin being a poisonous girl, to Shirou pulling out scalding coffee from his pants to give to Rin (who prefers milk tea), there was lots to enjoy. However, it wasn’t all fun and games, because there were two really painful scenes. First, there was Ayako dumped in the garbage pile. That sucked pretty bad. The second was Shirou rushing to the archery dojo alone. WTF is wrong with him; seriously, does he not own a cell phone? One quick call to Rin, and they coulda gone and wiped the floor with Rider and stupid Shinji. At least now we know that Shirou has the Detect Evil ability in addition to his Reinforcement buff.

Meanwhile, I think Sakura is suspicious. She can smell blood pretty easily and she doesn’t care at all that Shinji has been missing. Are they in cahoots? Also, I’m surprised that Shinji didn’t put all the marks in more annoying spots. Like in all the toilet bowls, and dumpsters, etc. It just seems like the sort of thing you’d expect from him. On a side note, I wonder who Lancer’s cowardly master is now…

You know, very few mention the oddest thing about Sakura.

She and Rin go all weird whenever they are around each other.

Look at how Rin’s reactions change whenever Shirou brings up Sakura.

Is the caption on that middle picture supposed to be a spoiler? ;)

Hmm…have there been any cell phone sightings yet? Maybe Emiya is too cheap to get one.

Shirou does everything for free because he luuuuuuuuuuuuuuvs~~~~~~~ helping people.

I guess he could beg for a cellphone, but it’s friggin Shirou we’re talking about here.

Rin doesn’t have many real friends I guess. That or she calls her friends Nanoha style. But it may be a matter of time before she yields to the power of cellphones just like her blonde counterpart from Nanoha did.

100% agreed. In the end part I was all “WTF!! Not again!! How dumb can you be???”

The ep was enjoyable, nonetheless, and I’m starting to like this lovulovu pentacle. F/sn has jumped a little into romance/comedy territory this time, and I find it not so bad, as I suspect there’ll be lot of painful drama soaked in blood during this anime (hey, these are the guys who made Tsukihime…).

Ahhh…isn’t Rin lovely ? Sorry Sakura…you can’t win against her.

“Even if the prize is just Shirou” (^_^;)

Ah, didn’t Shirou also look quite ridiculous making this “playboy stance” during the coffee scene with Rin (when he’s leaning to the iron net)?

> stupid Shinji

I just had a Tiffany Grant moment there. Would be sooo great if Rin says, “Anta baka!?” to Shirou. Tsundere 4tw!
