Shakugan no Shana 15

Wilhelmina keeps her priorities straight and runs back to Tendou-Kyu; she’s helped out when robo-samurai badly injures Orgone. Vine is already on the island and trying to beat up Shana, but Wilhelmina spirits her away and Shiro covers their rear. The robo-samurai is actually a monstrous Torch, known as Tenmoku Ikko. Tenmoku Ikko is very powerful and seeks out other strong Tomogara as prey; tonight it wants to dine on some Alastor. Shana is convinced now that she wants to be a Flame Haze, and it is revealed that Wilhelmina Carmel is the Manipulator of Objects, and is the Flame Haze of one of the Kings of Guze: Illusionistic Crown, Tiamat. The Jinki is actually her bonnet, and when the bonnet greets Shana, Shana is pretty surprised. Wilhelmina then puts on a super-dorky neko-mask to stall the enemies.

With that explanation done, Shana convinces Tenmoku Ikko (who won’t harm humans) to help her out and guide her to the ceremonial chambers. This way, she can become the Enpatsu Shakugan no Uchite and give him a great battle. For her and Alastor to move in together, they have to have a little heart-to-heart. Shana’s secret is totally lame: she had some doubts about how the Flame Hazes kept the balance in the world. Alastor drops this bombshell, however: he’s got a spell called Tenpa Jyousai (“Heaven-Hell Sundering”) that allows him to come forth but breaks his container. This is what happened to the previous Enpatsu Shakugan no Uchite. Shana figures it won’t come to that and makes the contract anyway. For no money down, she even gets to pick a choice of Jinki, and she chooses a pendant so that Alastor can become a clear eye that sees everything.

Wait, so this means that Wilhelmina purposely chose a meido bonnet as a Jinki? And Marjorie Doe chose a book so she could surf on it? I’m not sure what to make of this. Equally intriguing was the fact that they chose Shana because both Wilhelmina and Alastor agreed that she’d look hot with red hair and red eyes. Who knew that this was the criteria for becoming a Flame Haze! But how come everyone else has a name except Shana?

Anyway, this was a pretty interesting episode, and the flashback within a flashback about the previous container for Alastor caught my eye. She sure looked like an older Shana, eh? The art in the new ED was nice, but I preferred the music of the first ED.

You got a couple of mistakes/misunderstanding. Tenmoku Ikko is a Miste. And “Shana figures it won’t come to that and makes the contract anyway.”, is wrong, she even said even if it comes to it, she will die to keep the balance. My money is on that eventually that spell will have to be called, probably against the big three, Alastor’s true form is revealed, and Yuji somehow saves Shana.

Btw, Tenmoku Ikko means Fragment of Heaven. I was wondering if the fansubbers would keep it in Japanese or translate it.

They do mention that Tenmoku Ikko is “the worst Mistes”, but it is also referred to as a monstrous Torch. I guess they are sorta a unit now, like how Yuuji and Reiji Meigo are.

I was kidding about Shana, but I highly doubt that she will die from the spell (and if she were watching her show, she’d probably agree). I mean, heck the show is named after her.

A mistes is simply a torch that contains a treasure (hougu or whatever).

So all mistes’s are also torches.

Tenmoku Ikko means Fragment of Heaven.

! Doesn’t it means “One Heaven’s Eye”? (Tenmoku=Heaven Eye, Ikko=One) In any case, the sword his using now is Nietono no Shana. I wonder how did Shana manage to get it from him?

Wilhiemina’s Jinki……orz?

Haha, all that’s left is for Kazumi to become an idol and quit the track team.

Mhhhh… I don’t know the story at all, but I suspect that Kasumi will be fairly successful at getting closer to Yuji, at least for a while. ^_^

Until Yuuji buys Kazumi a necklace for her birthday… that looks like Alastor!

The previous Enpatsu Shakugan no Uchite does indeed look like Shana. At least, for hairstyle for that matter.

Next episode seems like we’re still in flashback mode, though. The white haired dude is another character of the olden times in the show, if I recall correctly. ^^

I believe the guy shown in the preview is actually Shiro, back when he had skin. Note the cloak. >:)
