Ahh, Sea Slugs! is now also running the newest version of WordPress. Everything looks super-duper so far, although I did have to turn off the rich visual editor for ease of posting (enabling cut-and-paste posting).

One of the founders of Sea Slugs, I handle most of the blog admin tasks while wearing my I AM BOSS shirt. I like my action series well choreographed, and my romance series extra trashy. I also have a soft spot for puns.

Yay, another blogger upgrades to 2.0! I don’t think anyone’s using the rich visual editor since it’s more of a nuisance than anything else.
Congrats on the upgrade!
I’m using the editor at the moment on my personal site, but I don’t see how it’s better in any way over the old one. Watch I’ll probably turn it off in a few days =).
haha, i agree with kawaii. that rich editor thing isn’t any richer than the old editor. the only thing that makes me wanna upgrade to 2.0 is the akismet plugin.
To be fair, the admin pages are now much nicer and slicker. The dashboard loads way faster, but I still hate those feeds. I think posting might be slightly faster, too. I have, however, noticed a few problems that popped up in the upgrade:
1) The comment count below posts does not update correctly.
2) The author link no longer seems to work. It returns a 404 instead of displaying all posts written by the linked author.
I’m not sure if these are theme problems (i.e. the tags have changed in syntax or name) or if they are WP errors, but it’s looking more and more like a theme update will be in order soon.
I also had the comment count problem initially – was due to SK2 but after I uploaded a compatiability plug-in, it was a-okay. Looks like you’ve resolved it anyway. Looking forward to your new theme!
It was kinda off and on, but thanks for the tip about the compatibility plugin. Hopefully that will fix the problem till the newest version of SK comes out.
I noticed quite a few bugs when I upgraded to 2.0. Still, I think the post preview (in the theme you’re currently using) is well worth the upgrade alone.
I don’t think anyone uses the rich text editor or the upload thing. I also had this thing with my posts not showing the most recent edition when editing. I had to disable the caching feature to “fix” that.
But as long as I have post preview, it’ll be ok!
