Marjorie leaps in to roast Rammie, but of course Shana intercepts her. Marjorie thinks it will be a rout like last time, but Shana sees through the kage bunshin trick and increases her attack speed greatly. However, Marjorie is as crafty as she is furry, and realizes that Yuuji is Shana’s medium; she and Marco call down an AOE to distract Shana and then launch an attack directly at Yuuji. To Marjorie’s dismay, however, Yuuji’s stolen Rosa Mystica creates an anti-Flame barrier, and Shana then stabs Marjorie in the furry belly. It was all a complex trap!

With Marjorie rocked, the AOE spell goes out of control and destroys a lot of the floor. Shana is able to prevent Yuuji from going splat by summoning some neat flame wings, and then we get a Marjorie flashback when Shana lays the smackdown. Apparently Marjorie was somewhat of a badass when she was alive, but the Silver Tomogara took everything (even her victims?) away from her. Back in real time, Marco is like “Say my name, biatch!” and summons a crazed flaming dragon around Marjorie. Shana, however, uses her craftiness and Yuuji’s Rosa Mystica to defeat Marco. When they come to their senses, Rammie tells them not to chase the Silver, and then Marjorie sees her two loyal henchmen coming back for her, causing her to cry tears of happiness.

Interesting fight, and Azur sure is useful. Yuuji got a whole faceful of nothing, and I was amused that Rammie took the time to look down Marjorie’s shirt before scampering off. Speaking of this almighty spell-caster, Rammie (aka “Spiral Organ”), is he annoying or what? I know he doesn’t want to give out spoilers, but stop being such a damn tease! Marjorie got some good screen time; too bad she didn’t realize that you have to change into an evening gown before the battle to become invincible. Oh well, live and learn.

Next episode looks like it will be filler + fanservice.

>> she didn’t realize that you have to change into an evening gown before the battle to become invincible.

So true.

I liked the final Marjorie bits in this episode, but as I’ve said to my friends, high-budget animation does not a good Shana episode make.

I think it was one of the best episodes of Shana, and very good on its own merits :) … it had action, drama, character development and some really funny moments too.

Still giggling at your evening gown comment.

Definitely.

If you want to talk about animation, then I guess most of the mechas series are lousy anime to watch then. However, this episode does not only have good animation, but a good mix of character development, a little bit of humor and plot development.

Well, for all those who need a break from ‘real’ fights and seriousness, the next episode is something you should look forward to. Even the preview (voiced by Yuuji) was already funny. It’s supposed to be a fun episode for the next one, and he uses such a serious tone…XP
