We see the ICPO has been monitoring the sham of a wedding, and many of the attendees are arms merchants. They have all gathered to bid on the union of Sara and Kimihiko; apparently the couple is biologically perfect, and when combined with a special ring they will form the ultimate specimen in the Ikaros series. Before the ceremony, Kimihiko admits to Sara that although this is an odd circumstance, he likes her in a way that could lead to love (aka, “Wow, you are mad hot and you have a twin sister”). During the ceremony, Rentarou and Souju bust in right before the ring is placed on Sara’s finger and it’s totally on. Kimihiko and Sara are whisked away in glass tubes, and Rentarou is set upon by an army of Ika Fire squids.
Rentarou takes down a lot of the squids with Sara’s help, but he begins to tire. Fortunately, the baseball toadie from before (Shimajima) and the Gothloli Mask twins (Kira and Yura) arrive to bail him out. At the same time, Kimihiko whips out his sidearm and gets Sara out of the tube. They have to run past several Ika Fire squids, and the last one injures Kimihiko. The auctioneer notices things going badly and detonates several explosives to cover up the evidence. Things look bad, but Souju has a Newtype reaction, helping Rentarou to find Sara. Rentarou tells Souju to go somewhere safe and gives her a secret kiss (“Don’t tell Sara!”), while Kimihiko tells Sara to go back to Rentarou because the castle is finished.
Oh yeah, at the same time that this is all going on, Zenji has a change of heart and helps the townspeople fight off the bulldozers that suddenly change into bloodthirsty mechs. Also, Gen finally confesses to Michiru.
Not too much to say, except that it’s time we got past all this wishy-washy stuff and dived into the roxxoring! I was glad that Rentarou has sorta chosen Souju, and the writers were nice enough to make Kimihiko an equally worthy catch for Sara. However, how come all the Ika Fire squids are suddenly so easy to defeat? This must have been the beta model or something, because these guys can even be defeated with traditional means like rifles and baseballs! Naturally, the ICPO does absolutely nothing during the entire episode.

I think the point the creators were trying to get across is that the power of baseball is indisputable. Unequalled. Matchless. Ultimate. Absolute.
I almost want to scream “Ika, Ika!!11″ when I’m reminded for the umpteenth time how degenerated Wikipedia is nowadays.

It’s been a longer while since I watched FA, and admittedly, it was raw, but what the heck makes you think that he “chose Souju”?? Did AnY really screw up the translation?

Well Rentarou kissed Souju, even though he wants to have both of them. Then he said “Don’t tell Sara”… Doesn’t that count as “has sorta chosen Souju”?
