Michael immediately recognizes Van and so takes off, but Wendy tracks him down. They have a little chat, and it turns out that Michael had sent a letter asking Wendy not to worry (too bad it never got to her). Michael has found a new calling as one of the Clawed Man’s goons, and he tosses the gun away and tells Wendy to go home. When Van, Joshua, and Carmen catch up to Wendy, they find her depressed and unsure or herself. Van is pissed that she didn’t try to find out where Clawed Man is hiding out, and tells her to go home.
On the bad guy side, we see that the Original Seven is in possession of the “ruins” from last time. There are the feral face lickers (the shy one is Meryssa), the snooty nobleman Woo, the resident sleepy girl Fasalina (who now knows about the code that Carmen found), and blustering lughead Galved. These ruins are actually a coffin for Saudade of Sunday. Afterwards, Michael accidentally drops a picture of him and his sister in front of Fasalina, and has to toss it in the garbage so she won’t think he’s a sis-con.
Finally some more story development, as all the characters begin to come together. The Wendy-Michael meeting was somewhat anti-climactic; it’s also clear that Michael is not the type of person you want archiving your stuff, since it’s 99% certain that he will throw your treasured stuff in the garbage. And why is Takumi Michael wearing golden handcuffs around his neck? It’s like Clawed Man has turned Michael into his personal bizatch. Van’s going to have a hard time taking down the Original Seven if he goes completely berserk at the faintest trace of Clawed Man.
I’m starting to warm up a little to Joshua. The scene where he goes into the women’s bathroom (and gets arrested) and the scene with him and Carmen on the wrong side of the gears were both amusing.

I didn’t like the scene at the end where everyone turns his back to Wendy like she was a complete stranger (Even Joshua and Carmen). It looked really corny and artificial.
So all the silhouette characters in the opening have now been revealed apart from the Claw man and a woman from the good guys’ side. The next episode should be exciting based on the preview.
Michael’s an asshat. End of discussion. When Van splits him down the middle, I’ll do a little dance. NOBODY makes Wendy suffer! And can some please tell me why the Thunder Kittens were in this episode? Though I don’t think they were ever THAT close. >:)
