Fate, Arf, and Yuuno show up in time to save Nanoha’s Ass (hahaha, sorry but every time Nanoha says the title of the show, it sounds like she’s saying “Nanoha Ass”). They had tried to contact her after Fate’s trial, but they couldn’t get through; a quick scan then revealed a suspicious barrier had been set up. Things are looking good at first, as Yuuno tends to Nanoha and Fate and Arf effectively bind Vita. However, Signum and Zafira save Vita and even the odds. These Velka-type knights form the Cloud Knights, and they all seem to rock the cartridge system.
Signum activates Levantine and puts the beatdown on Fate, while Shamal calls Hayate to tell her the gang will be late for dinner. Nanoha sees her friends being hurt, and Raging Heart valiantly suggests using Starlight Breaker to dissolve the barrier. When the countdown gets to 0, however, Shamal’s Klarer Wind allows her to reach through an alternate dimension and steal Nanoha’s magic marble. Nanoha gets the Starlight Breaker off anyway, and the Cloud Knights retreat to avoid eating a cold dinner. Back at the Space-Time Administration ship, Asura, Chrono recognizes the Book of Darkness, and has some unpleasant memories about the book.
So now it’s clear that Hayate is in the dark about the plans of the Cloud Knights. Sounds rather similar to Basilisk! There was plenty of quality shoujo battling this episode, but one thing concerned me: while Vita was in a serious pinch, Signum was sewing up her bunny hat??? Priorities, woman! Speaking of Signum, while she is cool, she has the most annoying weapon ever. I can’t stand Levantine’s voice! Fate needs to hurry up and upgrade Bardiche, so that I don’t have to hear stupid Levantine anymore.
To anyone who loves Gaia battles, it should come as no surprise that Zafira’s first move was to kick Arf (she wasn’t even in dog-mode, though!). I like how Arf and Zafira decided it would be a good idea to switch to dog-mode battling while no one was looking. I would have preferred if they switched into chibi-dog-mode, as that would have been omega kawaii.

Yess….looks like the second season is picking up alot faster than the 1st. the fights r awesome! cant wait for the next episode xD
aren’t the voices of Signum’s sword and Vita’s rocket-staff very similar, can anyone trace the accent on those things?
