Seriously, WTF happened to the production values?! I can’t stop laughing!!! Needless to say, the plot is coming close to being as bad as the Tony the Tiger fillers. Someone feed this arc some “life-saving curry”!

Such is the fate of a DBZ clone. I gave up on Naruto long ago.
Well, I’m not sure that I would call Naruto a DBZ clone, as the manga-inspired arcs are pretty good, and the main storyline itself is reasonably deep, as far as shounen goes. It’s just that I never expected the fillers to be stupid AND fugly.
To save everyone from all this agony, I think I’ll put Naruto on the back burner for a while until they get back to the manga storyline.
I won’t even bother touching, let alone ‘eat’ that ‘life-saving curry.’

Totally agree that the artwork is taking a hit, but the writing is really plumbing serious depths (compared with the last set of fillers, which was rather funny) — I fast-forwarded through the majority of this episode T_T
Naruto is not as much as a DBZ clone then it’s animated by the same studio that animated DB/Z, and if you haven’t realize it by now, their fillers suck (as is pretty much any filler in existence)
Hah, I stopped downloading the horrible fillershit months ago. Will it never END?! And now it’s official: these piece-of-shit fillers will continue until THE END OF THIS YEAR.

No way — are you serious?! Correct me if I’m wrong, but the manga is about ~30 chapters in front of the manga, excluding the ‘Kakashi Gaiden’ side-story. Surely the animators have enough ‘real material’ to start working with Kishmoto’s original material, instead of making up rubbish . . .

yes the fillers will apparently continue until next year in spring when the Kakashi Gaiden finally gets animated.
simply leaving this anime altogether on a high with the Kakashi Gaiden and stopping until the next arc is actually ready to be animated is better then rubbing it’s name through the mud countless times with these endless dreadfull fillers.
still though, i actually hate to admit that i liked the Bikkouchuu arc with Hinata, Kiba & Shino since their characters (especially Shino’s though minus Kiba’s whole part in the rescue Sasuke arc) are rarely ever shown or given development and screen time.
While not every filler can be as good as say FMA’s fillers, you can at least make a filler arc watchable. Case in point: the Bikkouchuu arc. While not especially cerebral, the plot was just good enough, the chemistry was there, and the animation was fine. God help us if the budget is this shot already and the fillers will be going on for 6 more months. The TenTen fight made me cringe in horror, especially when they just stood there and bellowed at each other.
A+ on giving something to latch onto in the fillers, though. The first filler arc was not very memorable, but recently we’ve gotten Tony the Tiger, the Elephant Bug, and the Curry of Life (That Looks Like Someone Crapped in Some Tar).
Hinata having SUPER POWERZ all of a sudden isn’t a very good idea, in my opinion. She sucked at fighting yesterday, and now she’s kicking ass out of the blue? Do it to Sakura, but please, NOT TO HINATA.
*Sigh* i guess that stellar fight btw Naruto and Sasuke is the best we’re gonna get this year. I just stop watching naruto altogether and started watching bleach instead which is starting to get really good again.
As soon as that first filler hit, I ran like hell far far away fron Naruto. I get the picture that that was a good thing
I really love Naruto, but I’m afraid a whole year of filler will kill the show. I didn’t mind the early filler arcs so much, but they this current one with Lee really bites. I just hope it doen’t die before they get back to the manga arcs.
I really hope they get back on track and make a decent filler next time… but I guess that won’t happen anytime soon. But we can always hope!
I really never watched more than a single episode of Naruto.
Atleast naruto fillers arent as bad as bleach fillers which are just total crap.
Bleach fillers are crap but at least its a bit moer entertaining.. and the artwork is decent.. seriously naruto fillers for a whole year.. unless they coe up with better fillers this show will definitely die until the manga arc picks up again.. but they a lot more anime to be watched in place of naruto..
Right i just saw 158 what a load of shite, theyre making naruto look like a fool when he should be becoming more mature and honed with powers granted to him by the Kyubi so he can get on with the MAIN STORY. At least if it absolutely has to be fillers, why the Hell can they not be good? couldnt we have naruto grow into a badass? or sommit?
i think the fillers should have been based around the journeys of Naruto and Jiriyai so we can see his training and the things they get up2. coupled of with some bigtime dramatic fights and major turning points for naruto’s growth it could be exellent–but ah well fk it.
I really Like Naruto, its one of my fave shows and ive stuck with it since even though its going a little crap now because of a drifting story which will lead back to the main gist of things. From the beginning we see naruto as a Jackass disliked by all and eventually gaining respect and power–Which he should be maifesting upon himself. But in these fillers he acts like an insect-watch 158 (if you dare) and ull see what i mean. Also when they make him use SPECIAL MOVES it should NOT BE USED so damn SPARESLY and in EVERY FRKIN EPISODE RASENGAN RASENGAN cause thats just weak. A REAL rasengan is the one he used against sasuke. but now hes usuing it to free himself from trapped boulders :S/

I was wondering the same thing. Why is it Naruto can go super crazy/powerful/badass when fighting Sasuke, but then drop a gizillion levels afterwords. Like Jack said, Naruto using the Rasengan to nearly kill Sasuke to being barily abke to save himself from rocks…;_; Stupid filters. BUT! I did enjoy Shikamaru getting to hang out with the teachers. Mini Iruka.
I like filler episodes. They’re like a break from all the grim “oh I know whatz gonna happen next cuz I already read the manga” things. On top of that, most are funny, and I like funny =)
yeah?… most are funny hey?? well you must be watching a different set of Naruto fillers than me because that Rasengan Cook off Nooddle one a few weeks ago was hands down the worst anime episode i’ve seen imo and the sooner the filler ends the better at least the bleach ones have a plot Kubotite is actually working with the studio where as Naruto’s mangaka ain’t which might explain the quality to an extent

Naruto goes to the (idontknow…) vegetable country for a C class mission… it turns out to be na A class mission… WHAT A SURPRISE!!! (i mean we havent seen that yet, have we???) his partner ninja get tottaly killed, and naruto does KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU…WOW!!! A NOTHER SURPRISE!!! (he almost never uses that jutsu!!!) and to finish the bad guys off, he uses…RASENGAN…YET A NOTHER SURPRISE(an AA class jutsu and he never used it before in the fillers, has he???)
I have to agree with Aizen555 Bleach fillers so much better then Naruto fillers because the Naruto fillers are shocking. They need to be careful because a lot of fans are not watching anymore, and are moving over to bleach and they might not come back!! i think a year of fillers is long enough or just make better ones!!
omfg if you fanatics have this much time to bitch about which filler sucks more then you have time to download and watch entire series of OTHER anime and manga if you dont like the fillers dont watch wait till they stop then start watching again you can use the time you would have used bitching to watch or read other series or work on your tan GOD!

I gave up on Naruto a VERY long time ago, shortly after the Bikochuu arc, the last bit that was still mildly entertaining. Reading the comments I see that that was a good decision. However, it seems to be official that the time jump and the end of the fillers will happen in February. ‘Course we’ve been fed that same line countless times, so is this for real at last?
you two are wrong the Naruto anime is far from over. The end of first part of Naruto (if you don’t count the fillers) was when Sasuke defeated Naruto and became evil. Till then this was the best story ever, but now they are just playing the fillers and they will run them till 8.2.2007. The last episode will be called Setting Out and it will be runned on 8.2.07. This episode ends Part 1 of the series. For Part 2, the show has been renamed Naruto: Shippu-den, which translates to Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles.
Until August 2007?! That animation better be really, really good…
