I recently agreed to receive anime-related news via email from Peter Tatara (from Central Park Media), so from time to time, I’ll be posting up some of the more interesting announcements. Here’s one that caught my eye:
Central Park Media’s full “Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek” website’s just gone online, leading up to the DVD’s release on October 11. In addition to information about the CG animation’s awards, creators, and English and Japanese voice actors (including Junko Takeuchi – the voice of Naruto), there’s a special video recorded at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
At Comic-Con, “Kakurenbo” was screened to a packed house of over 300, and after the screening, CPM asked the audience what they thought. You can watch this internet exclusive fan reaction video online.
I don’t know much about Central Park Media or Kakurenbo, but the site looked interesting. And who doesn’t love those great masks?

Neato, for those who don’t want to pick up the DVD, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim will be showing Kakurenbo at midnight on October 29th. Great idea, and great timing =D.
