As the minutes start to wind down in the speed baking competition, Kawachi goes into one of his usual “OMGWTF are we going to do???” panic attacks, which peeves Suwabara off once again as he attempts to slash Kawachi with his sword. Fortunately, Kazuma returns with their secret weapon, a microwave oven, which he’s going to use to make Japan #3. By this time, various teams such as the US and France team had begun to have Pierrot judge and pass their breads, and soon following that, various Asian teams also finished their baking and had passed. With the 8th and final spot in in jeopardy, Kazuma finishes the bread and hands it off to Kawachi, who throws a bomb off to Suwabara just ahead of another team to perhaps claim the final spot.
Unfortunately, the situation doesn’t seem to bode well for the judging of Japan #3 as Pierrot reveals his extreme hatred for microwave ovens, and he essentially proclaimed that despite any of team Japan’s best efforts, they would likely come up short of passing due to the use of the microwave. However, Pierrot still bites into the bread for judging purposes, and we get along rather long flashback into Pierrot’s past about how his old boss told him about the sue-happy Americans and how a women sued a microwave company and won when she “accidentally” tried to dry her cat inside a microwave. All almost seems lost for Kazuma and company before S.H.H. steps in to tell Pierrot that the cat story was an urban legend! Upon hearing that, Pierrot immediately declares that Japan has passed.
For some reason, I really wanted to smack the UK team around for that stupid little singing rendition they did before presenting their bread to Pierrot. Fortunately, Pierrot showed them the door
