ZAFT’s massive space force launches an all-out attack on the EAF’s moon forces in an attempt to prevent their superweapon from being fired again. The Minerva is called to the front lines to assault the moon base, and our intrepid trio of crimson-clad pilots take center stage once again. In a vaguely Star-Wars-esque moment, Luna descends through a narrow tunnel into the moon to destroy the core firing controls, while Shinn and Rey keep the enemy at bay. Jibril and his cronies attempt to escape in a battleship, but Rey meets them at the exit and gives them an overly-warm farewell present. At the end of the day, the EAF forces have been totally decimated, giving Dullindal even more reason to flash his smarmy smirk.
Quite an adrenaline packed episode, I must say. It was good to finally be able to fully root for Shinn, Rey, and Luna as they fought against Jibril’s forces, and they pretty much all kicked some major arse. Shinn was acting a bit on the macho side, attempting to persuade Luna that the mission was too dangerous for her, and then blathering on about how he’d protect her, but on the whole he was decently likeable this time around. Rey, on the other hand, gains more darkside points, as he makes several snide comments on how lame Luna’s skillz are. It’s almost as if he was saying, “For this mission, I’ve decided to give you something you can’t possibly miss – a stationary target.” The number of dirty looks he gave her can only be equaled by the number of yaoi -laden gazes he sent towards Gilbert. At least Luna gets to give him the evil eye (to send him out of the room) so she can get all lovey-dovey with Shinn. She looks so peaceful when hugging him, making me almost feel like hooking up with Shinn was a good idea, but common sense quickly quashes that fleeting notion.
One of the strange things that came up was at the end of the next episode preview. In both GS and GSD, the next episode preview is always narrated by the captain (Gladys, in this case), and is topped off by her shouting some nonsensical motivating phrase like “Fly towards the sky of truth, Justice!” or “Shine within the light of hope, Akatsuki!” This time around, it was “Don’t forget your tears of sorrow, Haro!” WTF? Since when did Haro join the ranks of Freedom, Justice, Impulse, etc? I imagine Torii is probably seething with envy.

I’m telling you, those Haro units are like personal DRAGOONs. I need to know if Jibril’s cat survived to take complete control of the EAF forces.
There also needs to be a new GSD drinking game where you do a shot every time you think Lunamaria is going to die. I would have completely passed out during this episode, but Lunamaria proved to be quite the survivor!

When you think about it they can’t really kill luna without killing shinn as well.If luna dies I’m sure shinn will go crazy considering that luna would be the third woman he cared about being killed.And when he goes crazy ,he would probebly fight on without listning to reason and be killed by either kira or aturan.That is unless rey kills her.He would probebly survie then.
