Lots of mecha action packed in here, as Kira takes on both Shinn and Rey with limited success until Athrun comes off the bench to tip the scale heavily in Team Archangel’s favor, scoring massive shounen points in only a few minutes’ playing time. I love how Kira is sorta snoozing while Shinn goes through an angsty flashback segment, and then snaps out of it when he realizes he’s on air again and is supposed to be helping Athrun…
Jona-haters had more to cheer about, as he gets squashed by a falling Zaku. Oftentimes I lose perspective on how massive these things are supposed to be, since they’re usually grappling with opponents of similar size. The giant cyclops head crashing down on Jona put the size differential back in focus 
In other news, Lunamaria “Sakura” Hawke displays a stunning lack of marksmanship as she fails miserably in her attempt to down Jibril’s shuttle. Way to drag down Team 7, Luna. However, I doubt Luna fans really care as long as she agrees to do an onsen scene in the future.
And finally, the real Lacus Clyne stood up. Took ya long enough!

Something about the Yona scene was just highly not funny but instead distrubing to me. I mean they’ve already spent all this time turning this formerly creepy manipulator into a complete joke, beat him up, killed his dad, and threw him in jail… and then a completely unnecessary scene showing him dying because he’s a dumbass? Just too much for me and not funny at all.
Jona got crazy after Kira took Cagalli away from him. Then, things were not going his way and couldn’t deal with it. He had Neo/Mwu and Djbril to help him with commanding Orb and leading the military. He was just a rich boy who really had no talent and became a puppet of Djbril.
What i liked about this episode and the last was that the people shinn thought he defeated is coming back to kick his ass.
