Naruto 141 Naruto 141 Naruto 141

Continuing on from last episode, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasame run into Arashi, who has now become a flesh conglomerate with Spiderboy and Crab Pincher Guy. Arashi proved to be a tough customer to handle as he holds off Naruto’s Kage Bushin attacks and manages to encapsulate Naruto in a box of Chakra using the Fuuma clan’s special Jutsu. Using his hands, Arashi is just about to crush Naruto inside the box when Sasame intervenes and distracts Arashi for a bit by stabbing the spider boy blob of flesh. Sakura also gets involved and manages to block Arashi’s attack at Sasame, and these distractions prove to be enough for Arashi to let up on the chakra box so Naruto can escape. Breaking out of the chakra box causes a massive explosion that breaks down the building foundation, but Jiraiya comes in with a giant frog to let Naruto, Sakura, and Sasame escape out of harms way. Sasame is reunited with the remaining Fuuma clan members, and Naruto, Sakura, and Jiraiya return back to Konoha.

Man, I’m glad this filler has finally come to an end. The title of this episode was “Sakura’s Decision”, but to be honest, she really didn’t do that much in this episode except deflect one shot from Arashi to protect Sasame, while the rest of the time she really didn’t contribute that much. Also, the Fuuma’s secret Jutsu was such a joke move too. I would speculate that Naruto could probably power out of it using the 9-tails Chakra, but the filler writers had to get Sasame and Sakura involved somehow. Also, Jiraiya seemingly comes out of nowhere when he looked to be in danger 2 episodes ago. And it looks like we’ll be subjected to more fillers as seen from the preview for the next episode Naruto 141 icon sad

The next filler arc looks uber-lame. Thinking about taking a break from the show ’til they do the Kakashi arc.

I was pretty much the only one who liked this arc. Probably because I don’t read the manga, so I don’t have any bias.

142, I thought was lame, but the manga dudes seem to actually like it. Why is my opinion so different from everyone else’s all the time? Oh, that’s right — I was born on Uranus.

We’re all subject to our own opinions, so don’t feel left out if you like a episode and someone else doesn’t :)

Probably because Manga seemed more fluid to us who read it in one go, also we tend to accept things that we see first and manga does come out before anime since anime is mainly based on manga (it also helps that the storyline in manga, especially lately is a lot better than any filler appeared in it so far
Anyway, I haven’t watched Naruto since the filler begin and I won’t watch it again till the filler ends, not a crap in here make sense, especially since the people making the anime don’t even know (my guess) if Naruto & co will actually come to Orochimaru’s Village of Sound later, a probably very conflicting points not unlike in one of One Piece’s fillers where they showed Zoro cut steel when in fact he can’t

If only they thought of associating the chakra box thingy with the Sound 4′s force field jutsu used in the hokage cagefight back then. They could say Oro stole the jutsu from the Fuuma clan. Sigh, wouldn’t that’ve been be a good bit of continuity.. :)

The problem I have with the filler arcs isn’t a manga vs. anime problem. It’s just that the filler arcs are boring.

Yup. The most recent filler seems worse then usual. I actually wouldn’t mind the fillers so much if they made the enemies… well, more similar to the ones in the naruto manga. a very good example would be that one filler arc where the villain was wielding some magic sword?(the one with the ninja race) that type of villain definately would not have appeared in the manga.
