With Ichigo finally mastering the ability to channel his energy to make a cannonball, team Ichigo is now ready to make their assault onto the Court of Pure Souls. In the last minute, Ganju also declares that he will be joining the group. He tells Ichigo about the story of his older brother who became a Death God, but who also was slain by them, and Ganju stressed that he remembers the face of the Death God who dragged his brother’s body back, and the strange but smiling face of his brother thanking the Death God for bringing him back to his family. The violin music was surely blaring in the background during this flashback, and the face that Ganju referred to looks very much like Rukia. Ganju declared that he felt that he would learn more about his brother’s death if he tagged along with the group, and Ichigo grudgingly said he could tag along.
With everyone all gathered up, team Ichigo all gather inside the cannon and inside a ball, and Kuukaku launches up in the air with Kakuku’s Fire Method #2. Once they’re up in the air, Ganju guides the cannonball with a continuation spell with mixed results as he and Ichigo continue to have communication problems 
As the cannonball approaches, the Death Gods are alarmed and begin to take positions, and I found the use of a wooden “bell” to alarm the Death Gods to be a rather interesting alarm method Meanwhile, the cannonball hits the outer shields of the Court of Pure Souls, and eventually pierces through. However, once inside the shields, the cannonball begins to compress like a black hole and then explodes, sending its riders in a fiery fireball in four directions. With everyone all scattered, it looks as if the rescue mission’s difficult has just risen a tad 
Man, I just find it hilarious that Ganju and Ichigo just can’t put behind their differences to work together in a coherent manner

You’d think the Shinigami would have thought up a better alarm system, since they have technology like cell phones. XD
Very good point! Yeah, you’d figure with all the capabilites of being a Death God they would have some better ways of communicating with each other, espeically on their homeland.
Hair reminds me of Rukia… although I could just be sounding stupid since I don’t read the manga…
yeah it was Rukia who killed Ganjus brother.
