In a really boring episode, Negi goes out with the twins and learns all about the campus and various clubs that his students are in. Fuuka and Fumika are in the walking club, and so they take Negi on a tour. While seeing various club scenes, we learn that Asuna is on the animation staff that did the first 10 episodes and that Negi goes to the same school that KimiNozo took place at. There is some missile dodging and the Narutaki twins fool Negi into thinking that walking is a dangerous and competitive sport, but really not a whole lot takes place in this episode. In the end, the twins secretly write slightly naughty phrases in Negi’s roster book under their names, and Asuna and Konoka give him flak about it.
I’m glad that these unimportant episodes are the ones with poor animation, but I do think that the non-visual elements of the show are quite good. I especially like Konoka’s little lisp. This was mostly a foreshadowing/setup episode, and it did give a good quickie introduction to the some of the clubs that the students are in. All in all, a mediocre episode that was almost exactly like its manga counterpart, but with less fanservice.

Wow, that’s a pretty harsh closing statement — “a mediocre episode that was almost exactly like its manga counterpart, but with less fanservice.”
Ow.
Oi, your captions crack me up XDDD “You wrote that I like what in my what?”
