Everytime I watch Negima, I wonder who other viewers consider their favorite students. I also love lists. So list your top 3 and why! Don’t have the entire roster memorized??? Shame on you!
I’d say mine (at the moment) are:
- Evangeline (26): I think her entrance marks the turning point of this series. I wouldn’t say she’s right for Negi, but she really just brings so much to the table. I hope she can successfully seduce the Thousand Mage!
- Asuna (8): I don’t usually root for the front-runner in these series, but Asuna is really, really cool. I think she matches up the best with the little brat ^^.
- Yue (4): She’s such a loyal friend that I like her character a lot. I doubt she’ll end up with Negi, but I want to see her in a big ‘ole witch hat!
As for runners up (because I cheat like that):
- Ku Fei (12): OMFGWTFBBQ the shark knows kempo!!!!
- Makie (16): Thank you for showing me how rhythmic gymnastics can make you lazy.

My favorites are:
1. Kaede (20) : Admit it, kunoichis are awesome. More of a mentor figure than a romantic interest, though.
2. Konoka (13) : Super wholesome, part of a balanced breakfast!
3. Nodoka (27) : Bookworms rule! Needs to develop a spine though.
Evangeline is pretty much on everyone’s A-list, so I didn’t bother including her.
My runners up are:
4. Yue (4) : She’s the best friend you could ask for. Keeps it real.
5. Setsuna (15) : If this were an RPG, she’d be tops. Her class always gets unlocked in the late game stages, and usually kick ass.
Woohoo! I’m not the only with this #1…
1. Kaede (20): Baka Ranger Blue! Just love her laid back attitude. Wish there was more of her though.
2. Yue (4): Love how she encourages/forces Nodoka’s pursuit of Negi even after she(Yue) begins to wonder at her own feelings for him. That’s the type of friend I like to have. Loyalty can never be overrated.
3. Setsuna (15): I’m a sucker for those who suffer silently.
And since there seems to be lots of cheating going on…
Runners Up:
Asuna (8): I never had a big sister but always kind of wanted one.
Chachamaru (10): Never had anyone apologize to me before they tried to punch me in the face.

1st.- Sakurazaki Setsuna- i’m attracted to girls with long swords, hehe. her devotion to Konoka is soo cute as well.
besides she’s got Angel Wings, what more can you ask for.
2nd. – Asuna Kagurazaka – she’s the rough, energetic and realistic girl. just like a good onee-chan. plus, she seems to have something to do with Negi’s father and his gang and her powers are really great.
3rd. – Evangeline A.K. McDowell(btw, fencedude, mind divulging on how you got her full name?) – she’s evil. she’s a vampire. she’s a 10 year old girl. well, that pretty much sums it up.
Runners-up
For sheer power and skills – Ku Fei, Nagase Kaede,Mana Tatsumiya.
For cuteness – Nodoka(who else),Narutaki twins(on the Kyoto trip, heh).
For Other Misc. Reasons – Ayase Yue (for amazing devotion and calmness), Kasumi Asakura (for l33t informations skills), Naba Chizuru ( for maternal instincts,LOL)

Picking out of Negima is a bit hard as all the girls are interesting. I can’t really name 1 that I hate at the moment.
1. Ayase Yue -The calm, bright philisophe that does not lose sight of things. There’s quite a bit to Yue that seems to be hidden. Her devotion to friends is remarkable.
2. Aisaka Sayo -I like the character quite a bit. She even forgot how she died. Poor fellow, stuck in a totally different era as a bystander for so long.
3. Miyazaki Nodoka -Even if she is shy, Nodoka overcomes her own insecurity and shows her tenacity. She stands in able to confront her own feelings and do something about it.
Runner-ups:
4. Sakurazaki Setsuna -The winged swordswoman that’s shy about her feelings.
5. Karakuri Chachamaru -So humane a character. Her feelings for Negi is fun to watch.
6. Yotsuba Satsuki -Down to earth and self-made. Doing what she loves with a passion and endearing commitments.
7. Konoe Kodoka -A loving character. She is adorable.
8. Kagurazaka Asuna -She’s lonely in her own ways and is a brave figure emotionally and physically.
A lot of complaints about how the animation for this show is. I, myself, am willing to make sacrifices since (it’s written in some holy anime bible somewhere that) (Manga > Anime)^10 . Here are my current favorites:
1: Tie between Yuna and Sakurako. I like masculine girls and cheerleaders.

2: Chisame. What can I say? In every comedy filled with t3h zanies, you always need someone who’s t3h sane. ^_^

3. Yotsuba Satsuki- Various reasons and whenever I read the chapter about her I get a craving for food, so it reminds me to eat on weekends when I’m tired.

Zazie Rainyday- Don’t ask. Really, don’t ask.

runners up are Kaede (calm and overpowered like Yoh Asakura, Shaman King) and Konoka (so darn cute as always. like Setsuna? cant dislike her). used to like Nodoka too, but she’s hardly mentioned in the recent half of the series, and her Pactio is so weak in proper battle its ridiculous. Makes for a lot of humor though.

1) Yue Ayase [4] – I don’t know why I like her so much but I chose her as the best since she first spoke in Negima!?(The first one I saw)
2) Chisame [25] – She gained a lot of admiration from me after i saw/read the manga and Mahou Sensei Negima! Mouhitotsu no Sekai. She is a strong girl who was able to take care of Negi while he was doing the training for Magia Erebea. Plus she’s a computer nerd, I like that about her.
3) Haruna Saotome [14] – I like her better then most cause she has a plain out entertaining character in the manga

4) Konoka – I could use her ability plany often
