Devoid of his Death God powers, Ichigo start training with Urahara in his seemingly endless basement. Ichigo’s first task: Land a blow on little Ururu, which seems like a ridiculous task at first. Seriously, who wants to fight such a cute little girl? But Ururu shows that she’s not just some skinny little girl as she sends Ichigo running away in fear of being hit from her Mike Tyson-like explosive punches. Fortunately, Ichigo realizes that since he could run away from her in his current state, he could dodge Ururu’s attacks and counterattack. After throwing a series of punches, Ichigo manages to get a scratch on Ururu and pass the first test! Unfortunately for Ichigo, the 2nd test proves to be 1000x harder in magnitude as he is thrown down what seems like an endless hole, and he has to climb out within 72 hours without the use of his arms or his severed soul chain will devour itself, which will turn him into a Hollow. Meanwhile, Yoruichi the cat attempts to try and convince Chad and Orihime to help join Ichigo to rescue Rukia from the Soul Society.
Man, just when you thought the stakes were high, Ichigo now runs the possibility of becoming a Hollow himself. It’ll be interesting to see how he manages to find his way up the deep hole he dug himself into. But right now, it looks as if Ichigo may have run out of cards to play since he’s devoid of his powers.
