Up to this point, not too many people have stood up to Shounen Bat, but Ikari’s wife, sicken by disease, refuses to give into Shounen Bat’s “relief” and stands up for herself. This episode is mostly expository from Ikari’s wife as she confronts Shounen Bat and tells it that humans are not as weak as they might appear. Meanwhile, Ikari continues to work many hours as a security guard to support his sick wife.
