With some quick intervention by Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke manage not to hurt each other too much, but the emotional damage has already taken its toll on Sasuke. Kakashi lectures Sasuke later about not taking revenge, but Sasuke (despite some soul searching) seems intent on revenge as he cannot get Itachi out of his head. Later on, the Sound Four of Sakar, Tayuya, Kidoumaru, and Jiroubou pounce on Sasuke as they are curious to why Orochimaru has such an interest in him.
Anbu and A1 seemed to finally get back together after their short hiatus apart. Hopefully that means the golden standard of Naruto episodes will continue on! The animation in the series has also taken a big step up, as all the fight scenes ooze with fluidity. Also, nice touch by the animators to add the Chounin jacket to Shikamaru in the intro.
