To everyone (even Ender, though I never listen to him…) who recommended Kannaduki no Miko, thanks. I marathoned it tonight and it was like the Supreme Pizza of animes. It’s as if the director had this exchange with his coworkers:
Director: I really enjoyed Maria-sama ga Miteru, but my friends won’t watch it with me because they think it’s way too boring.
Coworker: Wouldn’t it be cool if we could somehow spice up an academy drama? Like combine genres to make an uber-genre?
Director: You’re right! Clearly what MariMite needs is some action! Maybe a catgirl or two. And maybe some Fruits Basket boys!
Coworker: And…. mechs!
Director: ….
Coworker: ….
Director: OMGWTFBBQ THAT IS THE SWEET PLUM THAT WILL COMPLETE THIS ONIGIRI!!!!!!!!!
I do have to chastize you all for not warning me that episode 8 ends on a cliffhanger, though >_<. And while I know it’s not his family name, I couldn’t help thinking “ZOMG, Souma family curse!!!!!” throughout the night.

Haha, that last post was classic. It was as if all of anime fandom *united* to pile on Kabitzin in order to force him to watch Kannaduki. Truly, now I realize the underlying purpose of the Internet
good to hear you’re enjoying Kannazuki no Miko! And why would we want to ruin episode 8 for ya man? It would ruin 1/2 the fun
episode 9 is one of the coolest episodes of anything ever. I highly reccomend just watching it RAW, just to see Chikane in action.
