Full Metal Alchemist 49

After all the homunculi battles, the series finally slows down a bit as Ed finds his way to the hidden underground city where Dante is hiding out. He meets face to face with Dante and discovers that she is the manipulator of the homunculi and that she wants the Philosopher’s stone for herself to keep her life prolonged. Also, in sort of a weird twist, she wants to attach herself to Rose’s body and be together with Ed as a replacement for Hoheinheim. Of course, Ed refuses and tries to take Dante out, but somehow, Dante sends Ed to the strange “Gate of Truth”. Ed wakes up, and just as Chyrebulis pointed out, the date is September 2nd, 1916, and the Germans have begun to bomb London just as Ed meets up with his father. It should be interesting to see how Ed gets out of this mess.

One thing though, the animators made too many circling references, whether on purpose or not, during the conversation between Dante and Ed.

I missed this episode, but I love the fact that Hohenheim isnt really “dead”. As for Envy’s true face, man he was ugly in the beginning.
[How, since Dante and Hohenheim were so attractive in my opinion??]

I loved this episode, but no FMA episode is better then the 2 & the last. And I seriously agree with envy7.
