Ed has finally been able to vanquish Sloth by turning her water molecules into Ethanol, which as good scientists know evaporates rather quickly Full Metal Alchemist 48 icon razz So another homunculus has bitten the dust, leaving Wrath crying like a baby now that Sloth is gone. However, the celebration is short lived as Envy comes out of nowhere disguised as Winly (or is it Winry?) and steals Al away. Ed attempts to go after Envy but is caught up by Wrath who tries to choke Ed to death. Luckily, Izumi was nearby, and Wrath runs off into the forest.

Meanwhile, Mustang has some tricks up his sleeves as he sends his companions out on a semi-bogus mission to buy some time by fooling the Fuhrer to thinking he was out on another mission. In another step of the plan, the Major flexes his way into convincing the troops to invade the central headquarters in order to divert the remaining troops in Central. In the meantime, Mustang scopes out the floorplans of the Fuhrer in order to get to the bottom of what’s going on with the Fuhrer.

Ha, it’s funny to see the return of the ‘shorty’ joke — haven’t seen that in a while :)

Didi you catch the credits at the end where they said that something important happened on September 2, 1916? I tried looking at Wikipedia’s Sept. 2 page, but I couldn’t find anything . . .

Hmm…I didn’t notice that date listed at the end of the credits. I googled the date but I didn’t find anything particuarly related to FMA. Perhaps we’ll find out in later episodes!

On September 2nd, 1916 german zeppelin’s bombed london as a part of World War I. This is almost certainly what “14 devils over london” is referring to.
