Although it seems that the Shounen Bat culprit has been caught, Maniwa, the assistant detective to the police chief, is still not convinced that Shounen Bat has truely been caught. He goes off and does some investigation on the side, and he begins to discover a pattern: those who have been attacked by Shounen Bat were “cornered” at that point of their lives, and Shounen Bat was a “relief” of some sort to those people. Maniwa tries to convince the chief of his findings, but the chief doesn’t seem to believe him. However, Maniwa gives himself one last chance to prove to the chief about Shounen Bat as he realized that Kozuka, the supposed Shounen Bat, may be “cornered” in jail, so he gets the Chief to rush to his containment cell. Upon getting there, they found Kozuka dead, but they also managed to catch a glimpse of the “real” Shounen Bat skating away. However, due to the death of Kozuka, the media sees the Shounen Bat case as closed and blames the police department for stirring up a scandel. Thus, Maniwa and the chief find themselves resigning from the police department due to the outside pressures.

i really like this show even when kuzuka dies it is sad cant wait to see the next one ^0^
