Tsunade makes her decision, and she decides to go against the reincarnation of Nawaki and Dan because both Nawaki and Dan believed in the preservation of Konoha, and she felt that she would be betraying their dreams since Orochimaru would likely go and destroy Konoha after raising Nawaki and Dan. This forces Orochimaru and Kabuto to take Tsuande by force to have her heal Orochimaru’s arms. However, Tsuande’s freakishly enormous strength forces the two to take the battle elsewhere in open grounds.
Kabuto finally demonstrates some of his true strengths as a ninja as he attempts to use his medical jutsu’s to incapacitate Tsunade. Although Tsuande seems to have some battle rust and begins to fatigue a bit while battling Kabuto, she still has some tricks up her sleeve as she temporary knocks Kabuto’s nervous system into disarray, resulting in some humorous results 
Luckily, Jiraiya and company finally catch up to save Tsunade just before Kabuto regains proper movement of his limbs and ambushes Tsunade while she heals herself. However, pushing Jiraiya out of the way, Tsunade manages to try and get one more strike on Kabuto, but Kabuto stabs himself in the hand and splashes blood all over the place. Needless to say, Tsunade backs away, trembling in fear. From here, the series is set up to start the fight to the death between the 3 sannins!
