Things are looking tense, as Shima struggles to perfect the targeting system. Although she’s managed to get up to 92% accuracy, foregoing the DLS system is clearly putting a heavy strain on her. There’s no time to worry about that, however, as the Cosmic Flux suddenly exhibits energy fluctuations and pulls in the El_Santo. The Genesis Mission cannot afford to lose any more stations, and so Jinrae decides to start the mission in an hour. The Halcyon is not yet complete, but then Shima’s friends show up to help out with modifications. As Yayoi, Rinna, and Arisa help with the Halcyon generators, Dai, Jojo, and Akira wander deep into the heart of Stellvia to fiddle with the main computer system…
Believe it or not, in the future, Monopoly and The Game of Life have merged, and this has clearly caused a tear in the universe. Curse you Milton-Bradley! Also, I was surprised by the preview discussion between Shima and Ayaka. Ayaka’s started dating a younger boy??? Yayoi’s gonna be pissed when she finds out. These intriguing questions were just a small part of what made this episode so enjoyable. The pacing and suspense were perfect, as worries over the mission are thrown out the window when it is finally time to perform. The way Shiponsengumi stayed around to help Shima was just icing on the cake. Here’s to hoping that Shima and Kouta can patch it up, to make way for a super happy ending!
