Sasaki Yukinari seems like your typical harem-series male lead. He’s a total wuss, and there seems to be no reason for girls to like him. Other than that, he’s a ordinary, slightly shorter than average, Japanese boy. The only thing that distinguishes him is that he has been bullied by girls to the point where he breaks out in hives whenever he gets too close to a female. His life changes when he falls through a portal in his tub, after accidentally walking in on female childhood friend, Kojima Kirie. This drops him in the world of Seiren, where women outnumber men by more than 9:1. There he meets Miharu Sena Kanaka, who has three dots on her forehead, and has been able to see Yukinari through her bath water for some time. Being a hotly contested male seems like it would be fun, but Yukinari is quickly overwhelmed and proclaims this new world “Hell”. Yukinari escapes back through the portal, but this time it seems that Miharu has come along with him…
The plot is rather silly, but is it wrong to enjoy something that you know isn’t especially original or logical? I actually liked Yukinari, because he is really quite hapless and has a real reason for spurning his various suitors. At the rate he’s going, he’s sure to have irreversible brain trauma by episode 3. I was getting a real Chii (of Chobits) vibe from Miharu, which is alright by me. I think Yukinari has a deep understanding of females, and he makes several very insightful comments throughout the first episode. I’m actually looking forward to this series now, and am intrigued by the label of “first season” on the eyecatch. Usually harem-series get rather painful after the first season, but I would like to be proven wrong. The music is ok, and the voice work seems very good. I like the bright colors, and although the liberal use of steam is a little odd, hopefully it will prevent the series from becoming too wedded to fanservice as the main draw.

It seems rather wierd, but the titles that look the best (in terms of color) are *always* harem anime. And it’s interesting that the main femme protagonist always has red hair (a la Maburoha, Operation Sanctuary, and this). Still though, this series seems much more tolerable than its harem counterparts — Yukinari isn’t super-annoying as a lead, and the preview for the next episode looks pretty good

I think you’re confused about the genre. Girls Bravo is an ecchi comedy. It’s not meant to be serious and there’s a lot of exaggeration as well as over-the-top reactions/situations.
Actually, Kyrie was my favourite character of this series. She looks best, has nice tits and she’s not the typical annoying angsty, cute-and-dull anime girl. I guess you just can’t handle
and don’t like tough girls.
Yukinari is really a cowardly dork – but it’s just a comedy and that’s merely his stereo-typical role. If you watch the whole season, you’ll also notice that Kyrie isn’t so horribly mean after all.

No show is liked by everyone. It’s alright to talk about what you don’t like but it’s quite brain-dead to get hysterical over it. By the way, one of the jokes *is* exactly that Yukinari isn’t ecchi at all but gets punished for it nonetheless. I found it funny seeing a boy beaten up by a girl all the time – mostly over misunderstandings. Have you ever seen old b/w slapstick like The Three Stooges? If you don’t like unjustified over-the-top violence, this comedy isn’t for you. If you’re just looking for fan service with “willing” girls, you’ll probably better series than this one.

I’m not a big Kirei fan either, but I like her better than I like profanity-ridden tirades. Just don’t watch it or read summaries about it, if it makes you that mad.

well,i happen to love this series!i have both seasons and enjoy watching them over and over! ienjoy the fact that the comedy is over the top!,but there is some charecter development(mostly in the second season!),but it doesn’t slow the pace of the show!
oh,as for our violence-prone girl,kirei,she gets hers later on when the lust-crazed lesbian bodyguard chases her! she gets so afraid,that she asks our hero,yukinari,to hide her!!(again,mostly in the second season!!)

I forced myself to find it on the internet,but I can’t so this is my only hope finding it or getting info. Kirie is effing hot and tight, I may like her even more than Naru and she too has that bitchy side to her which I love. Not to mention she beats the hell out of people as well. She’s not that mean, and her character is way more dynamic than the usual cute, docile anime girls like Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi–bleh! Really a lot like Naru.

I seriously would love to watch this anime… Its looks really funny and romantic (sucker for a bit of love). If anybody likes this anime I will also point out, Ah/Oh My Goddess!!! Seriosly funny and has a good history…
“Third season” I was also looking for a third season i really like it but Kirie is hot and she is a good char, But Miharu is also a really cute one she so oblivus to whats around her some times and she can pack it all way and keep eating like me lol but ya if any one has any info on a Third season plez let me know!

Whatever, I’ve always had one and I’ll make this short and (not so) sweet, It sickens me to hear you say retarded, untrue bullshit like “Girls Bravo is a fun and bubbly show” Why? because the way I see it is that it’s not true and NEVER will be. Plus I consider myself an enemy to all those who call themselves “fans” of this shitty garbage and hate them all with a burning passion. But recently a worthwhile show was released by Geneon 3 weeks back call “When They Cry – Higurashi” which I personally would recommend that is, if you have any brain cells left after watching that trash called “Girls Bravo” All I can say is this, Anyone who on this blog considers themselves “smart” would at least do the right thing and buy “Higurashi” and either sell off or destroy their “Girls Bravo” DVDs. I would suggest destroying them because at least that way, it’ll NEVER work again, but on the upside, you get money but I REALLY pity whatever poor sap that was actually dumb enough to buy a show that it’s value is the equivalent of whatever is in your trash can. Kirie is my fav character and I hope she ends up beating Miharu to Yukinari! Kirie has known Yukinari alot longer than Miharu has and she deserves Yukinari! She’s defended Yukinari ever since they were kids so she’s the obvious choice! Miharu is boring and quiet, Kirie is exciting and fiery so she needs to get Yukinari! Yay Yukinari x Kirie FOREVER!!!

i really thought this anime was good, but i think i may be 1, the youngest out of all the people to comment aying they like this, and 2, not caring if an anime is harem. that doesnt change my opinion on the anime. it makes no difference to me weather the y block nudity, show it all, have a million girls in it, or have a million guys in it. i thought it had a lot of sophisticated (yet perverted in a hilarious way) comedy!
i would only recomend this how to those who can handle it though.
there is no season 3!!!! dang… in the last episode they left so many question left unanswered but i guess that’s how the creators wanted it to be. and i guess we should just fit the blanks. but it sucks that there isn’t going to be a third season. and its kinda funny the comments here stretch from 2005 (which is when the second season started) to 2008 and me now which is 2009. and guys its been a what? almost 5 year gap. i don’t think there’s going to be a new season and if there was it would have been made long ago. well it was fun watching the show but, now that Ive watched it all its like some things missing… well that’s enough for me and all i have to say is that i had a great time.
yeah i really liked this show and tamoka was funny with her sassy attitude and lilaca was also a cool character im mad she got slammed up the wall though

Yukinari x Kirie.
Kirie: childhood friend who always went out of her way to defend him against abusers. Yeah, she would beat him up but this was due to her awkwardness around him: she always scolded herself afterwards which was too cute. She’d always try to spend more time with him but would fail which always broke my heart. Most of all, she sacrificed her love for him so that he could be happy with Miharu who is not as deserving of Yukinari’s affection as Kirie is. Kirie was always by Yukinari’s side despite his affliction.
Miharu: ate a lot but who cared? Personality of a sponge. Got insanely jealous of the other girls when Yukinari was cured instead of being happy for him and runs away in a mini-tantrum requiring Kirie among others to fight and rescue her selfish ass. Yeah, she ‘healed’ Yukinari but not intentionally and it’s the intent that counts.
To hell with Miharu, Yukinari x Kirie MOFOS!
I used to have the DVDs but after Kirie got back-stabbed in the show, I threw them away! I was so disgusted/heart-broken for Kirie!… ARRGH, seeing Kirie’s tear-filled face during Yukinari and Miharu’s date still pisses me off!…
Okay, I’m done.
