More blasts from Fuji’s past as Anzaki (a younger student who went to the same middle school as Fujiwara and Miura) shows up and nags him about his old knee injury. To make Fuji’s day even worse, several of his basketball senpai’s show up and taunt him about how he destroyed the basketball team and should apologize. There’s a flashback showing how Fuji got tangled up in a rebound, as Miura got fouled and fell on Fuji (hence his knee injury). Anzaki takes over as manager of the boys team, and forces Fuji to do boring rehabilitation instead of practicing with the team.
I can’t wait for the catfight to erupt between Anzaki and Mutsumi. Not only has Anzaki been criticizing and stalking her boyfriend, but now it’s affecting her concentration at practice. Overall a pretty interesting episode, since instead of a boring match with CG basketballs, we get a look into why Fujiwara is the way he is. It seems like he’s just a good kid struggling with a lot of issues.
