Naruto’s training towards mastering the ultimate jutsu continues on in this episode as he struggles at first with the water balloon exercise. Try as he might, Naruto water sloshing abilities prove futile again the water balloon’s power! Fortunately, a friendly feline happened to be hanging around the apartment complex he and Jiraiya were staying, and the cat gives Naruto some ideas and inspiration to tackling the water balloon puzzle! By moving his hand around the balloon randomly while circulating chakra, Naruto creates the random water currents he needs to bust through the balloon.
Good news: Naruto past stage one!! 
Bad News: There are two more to go, and the second stage proves to be even tougher as he needs to learn to focus the chakra currents to bust through a rubber ball. 
Eventually by the end of the episode, Naruto finds a way to bust a hole in the ball, but the exercise calls on the ninja to have the ball explode, so he’s actually making some decent progress. The 4th Hokage took 3 years to develop the technique, so we can safely say that Naruto is slightly ahead of the ball at this point
