Jo enrolls at the school in order to protect Meg. Everyone laughs at how bad Jo looks in the ugly school uniform, but then everyone laughs at how Meg is getting fat from the school food. Girls are so mean to each other sometimes. It turns out that the food is evil and will cause you to turn into a mutant/become a slave of the mutant/have crazy, painful, spastic fits. The strange evil mutant from before is really Nadeshiko (the nice girl from the roof), and the school is really an experiment about mutation that is being monitored from a truck nearby. Jo beats everyone up and saves Meg, but then the mutant’s brain jumps on Jo’s head so Meg has to shoot it off using Jo’s guns. Mutant brains are splattered all over the floor, and everyone rejoices.

I am starting to suspect that BakuTen has a strange obsession with brains. Mutant brains, robot brains, it doesn’t even matter as long as it is some kind of brain. Anyway, I think Jo would fit into a Shoujo-type world better than Meg would, because Jo could be the quiet tough one that would blush at things in a way that shows she is actually very sensitive and sweet on the inside. However, because this is the Bakuretsu Tenshi universe, and Jo is a Crazy Burst Angel, she just shoots mutants and beats up fellow students with a broom (but in a way that shows she is actually very sensitive and sweet on the inside).

Haha, that’s funny since in episode 8, Sei tells Jo to save a huge crow-man’s brains. But of course, Jo forgets about this and totally destroys the enemy. Poor Sei and her futile wishlist :)
