Not too much happens this episode as Shima gets totally depressed about how Kouta is way better than her at the new DLS system. Unfortunately, her funk spreads to all her friends, and they all get mad at each other and have to deal with their own issues. I guess Shima is the big crybaby, Arisa is too nosy and uppity about her best friend status, Akira is mad jealous of Shima, and Yayoi is too mature and self-righteous or something. The whole thing is a big sobfest that illustrates the complexities of women. Rinna puts the situation into perspective when she informs the confused boys that “These periods happen in relationships between women.” Her comment about the pr0n movie date was also well timed. Oh the drama!
In spite of all this crying and whiny-ness, there is some good stuff in this episode. Of course there is the touching friendship and all, but more importantly there is Biggu Fo cosplaying (woot!) and even reports of Yayoi totally shooting down Pierre’s latest nanpa movie attempt, resulting in him having to see the romance movie with one of his male buddies. Keep up the good fight Yayoi! Ayaka also gets some positive screen time as she reaches out to Yayoi and Arisa, and reveals the secret behind Shima’s latest bout with depression. Last but not least, there is some extreme pillow/stuffed animal/candy throwing catfighting that goes on in Shima’s room. In the end, everything works out and the boys are just as puzzled as they were in the beginning of the episode.

I watched this series a month or so back, and I have to say your entries are quite entertaining to read. Brings back good memories of the show.
