Chrno Crusade 23

Kabitzin on June 8, 2004 · in Chrno Crusade

Aion has successfully brainwashed Rosette and riots are erupting everywhere. Rosette even turns on Chrno, asking for him to return her life back to her. Chrno’s pretty upset until some some random photographer from the festival shows up with their group photo. Azmaria gives a pep-talk, and it’s off to go beat the stuffing out of Aion. Rosette breaks out of Aion’s bishie mind control, but doing so triggers the “final stigmata”. I don’t think having her stomach explode in a shower of blood kills Rosette, but I almost feel that Rosette dying would make a really good ending. It was surprising how easily Chrno chopped Aion and his little bird in half, and I laughed out loud when I saw that Aion put his initials on his horns.

I guess this episode was interesting, but I was kinda eh about the whole thing. It just felt like too many chapters of manga had been crammed into one episode, and not enough questions were answered. I thought at first that Aion was gonna say “Elda Taluta” when he died, but he just babbled some stuff about “El, eroidema sabakutani” which I didn’t understand. I wouldn’t be that disappointed, but it seems that next episode is the final episode and it looks boring! The preview suggests the whole thing will be about how Rosette wants to farm and buy some sheep, uggggghhhhh.

I’m just basing this on your entry, but it seems that Aion was muttering Jesus’s final words.

‘Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?’- which means, `My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

Aion is such a poser

Now that is an interesting tidbit of information! And Aion is definitely a poser =).

Aion is a poser, but a convincing one. He has managed to break the main characters spirits on several occasions. He is deserving of credit. He knows all of his opponets weaknesses and plays on them. Not to mention the fact that he twists the bible’s words to his liking. He never hesitates or looks uncertain even for a second. If it weren’t for Rosette and the others the human race would definitely follow his lead. I think that its pretty cool that he’s lying even in his last breath. I think he’s planting ideas in others heads for the future. He wants people or demons to think of him as a hero and take up his plots. Aion might be dead but his demented ideas certainly aren’t. He’s one demon you definitely don’t want to mess with(even in death).

I disagree with you. This episode was awesome too. It once again showed how upset everyone was about Satella and then the final showdown took place.
Yeah, I was really surprised at how fast the battle was over. Still Chrono was mega upset and Aion had no one left to hide behind.
I loved Azmaria’s pep talk! Another line about we’re the same. So cool! And Satella was important in the speech! And the picture! Priceless!
I really like how even in his last breath that Aion was being decieving. He plays his role through and through and hopes that others will pick up the pieces and continue his ‘noble and just’ work.
I loved the horn showdown! The whole battle was about the horns yay! It looked so cool when they through them at each other. And the speech about that’s why God gave us minds. That’s why he gave us hearts! So awesome.
Oh, and Aion’s comment in the beginning of the episode rocked. Chrono was kind of lame with, “You’re playing with our hearts.” Still the response was cool. “Playing with your hearts? Not mua. It’s that great heavenly hypocrite who’s always standing idily by.”
And Sister Kate was so awesome! Taking charge of everything! Poor San Francisco branch! Chrono sure causes a lot of trouble, but it’s not his fault. He causes a lot of good too.
I cried through this episode too. When they talked about Satella and everyone being together and what happened to Rosette sniff…sniff…
Okay, now I have a question. I understand that Rosette and Chrono want to spend some time alone, but they could have left some symbol to say that they were alive. Everyone was so worried. I mean how hard is it to get paper and pen and write Aion is dead and Chrono and I are alive and well. We’ve got some things to catch up on so we might be gone for while. Still remember that we care about all of you. Hopefully we’ll meet again.
If they had even written two little words people would feel better. We’re alive. I mean come on. I think their close friends deserve something.
Oh, and one last thought. Chrono’s awesome with a sword!
Okay, one more last thought. When Rosette was giving her speech it was really sad! “Bring peace to the lost lambs. Give rest to the fangs of the wolf and call the hammer of death unto the devil!”
Oh, that reminds me. What was up with Rosette when she was under Aion’s spell and even shortly after. Her skin was dead white. Why?
Okay, I’m truly finished now. Thanks for listening to my rambling. I’ll conclude with this was another awesome episode.
