A battle royale rages in San Francisco as Chrno and Joshua level buildings in their fight. Joshua beats the stuffing out of Chrno, but Chrno does manage to de-horn Joshua. Deufo shows up with his amazing explosive beard hairs and helps save the day, but Aion escapes with a scantily-clad Rosette. Remington and Deufo kill the other two sinners, and Remington reveals that he has angelic powers. Unfortunately they are really lame angelic powers (he can travel really fast, I guess), and Aion really had assumed that the rest of the sinners would end up dying. Fiore and Joshua are put in intensive care, and Chrno has been petrified. On a nearby rooftop, Aion gets his game on and tries to put the moves on Rosette again. She bites his hand. Aion, no means no!
The battle was pretty interesting, and the setup for the next episode has got me pretty intrigued. I was half expecting the outfit Aion gave Rosette to be some slinky low-cut outfit (Aion is such a playa), but I guess since Fiore made it, it was pretty conservative. The next flashback should be especially informative, and I can’t believe that after 15 or so episodes, a story has really emerged in Chrno Crusade. There is a lot of glowing in this episode. San Francisco might want to consider taking a Geiger counter out there in the near future.
