After getting hijacked on the train, the gang is forced to walk to San Francisco. Fortunately Satella, who is rich and makes frequent cameo appearances, sees them on the road and picks them up. Rosette spends almost the entire episode dirty and in a rag sack. I guess the animators didn’t want there to be too much fanservice, after her last outfit got ripped to shreds. Anyway, Chrno gets a fever, and both him and Rosette almost get whiplash from doing a face-plant into Satella’s chest. They end up going to a divination lady who foretells some mysterious future and gives Rosette the spell to heal Chrno. Rosette gives Chrno some regular old cold medicine and a kiss and all is better. Then some mysterious demon shows up at the door. The end.
This wasn’t as bad as most of the filler episodes in Chrno Crusade are, since at least the interaction between Rosette and Satella was pretty amusing. There was a lot of cuteness in this episode as well. Still, it was pretty predictable and reminded me of the episode of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu when Sousuke has a fever.
