From now on, I’m just using Jubei ## for the title, because that is way too many words and numbers… Ok, in spite of warnings about how the first one was stupid, and that sinking feeling you get when you hear this is about Jubei of the “Lovely Eyepatch”, I am giving this series a preliminary thumbs up. I’m not quite sure what the plot is, and I don’t know the backstory, but the art is fabulous! Jubei flits between childish, simplistic art, to much more traditional shounen styles. The pacing also varies between frenetic non-sensical chatter, and the afore mentioned shounen style. I’m pretty confused as to which one of the two girls is the real Jubei at this point, but more on that later. For now, hand over that lovely eyepatch!
